  • Rebecca and Hope

    Rebecca and Hope are from the Kaberamaido District. Both expressed a dream of one day becoming a nurse. We developed the Education for Hope Foundation because of these two wonderful girls. Before they can complete their dream, they both are required to complete Senior 4 level. Rebecca and Hope are now students at the Bishop Cipriano Kihangire Senior Secondary School and are both in senior level 3.

    Rebecca and Hope is pursuing a Senior 3/ Senior 4 high school degree at the Bishop Cipriano Kihangrie Senior Secondary School in Kampala. Rebecca and Hope will graduate with a Senior 4 degree June 2019, allowing them to continue onto a nursing education.

  • Bridget

    Bridget is 18 years old from the Kaberamaido District. She lives with parents and siblings.

    Bridget is pursuing a Nursing degree at the St. Kizito Hospital Matany School of Nursing and Midwifery in Moroto, completing a 2 ½ year certificate program. She will graduate in May 2020.

  • Damaly

    Damaly is 18 years old from Asal village, in the Kaberamaido District. She is one of 8 children, her parents are farmers. In 2016, she sat for her senior level 4 examinations at St Thomas Girls’ school. Due to the lack of resources, she was unable to proceed to nursing school.

    Damaly is pursuing a Nursing degree at the Jerusalem School of Nursing and Midwifery in Lira, completing a 2 ½ year certificate program. She will graduate in May 2020.

  • Leah

    Leah is 18 years old from the Kaberamaido District. She lives with her mother and grandmother. Leah’s father is an educator and understands the importance of an education.

    Leah is pursuing a Midwifery degree at the Mengo School of Nursing and Midwifery (Kampala), completing a 2 ½ year certificate program. She will graduate in May 2020.
